

Associate Director/Director, Protein Purification (#DS10-112)
The Associate Director/Director will be primarily responsible for the purification and biochemical characterization of protein therapeutics, reporting to the Senior Director of the Protein Sciences team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be expected to develop, execute and supervise purification methods for recombinant therapeutic proteins for preclinical studies. This includes primarily semi-automated purification on an AKTA chromatography system as well as protein analysis using techniques such as ELISAs, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE with Coomassie and silver staining, and fluorogenic enzyme assays.
Requirements
• PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology or relevant field
• 8-10 years of post-doctoral experience
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of protein isolation and purification from mammalian, microbial and yeast expression systems
• Detailed knowledge of protein characterization analytical techniques
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Preference given to candidates with:
• Industrial experience in biotechnology
• Experience with GE-AKTA systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
