Research Associate/Sr. Research Associate, Protein Sciences (#TB10-113)

The RA/SRA will report to a Staff Scientist within the Protein Sciences group and will primarily be focused on protein production for pre-clinical studies. This includes primarily semi-automated purification on an AKTA chromatography system as well as protein analysis using techniques such as ELISAs, Western blotting, SDS-PAGE with Coomassie and silver staining, and fluorogenic enzyme assays.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry or relevant field
• 4-8 years of experience
• Working knowledge of the basic principles of protein expression and purification
• Proficiency in general laboratory techniques
• Focused attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

 

Preference given to candidates with one or more of the following:

• Experience with AKTA systems and its Unicorn software
• Competence and experience with ELISAs
• Experience working with mammalian cell culture
